Third Trimester Project

Third Grade Classes

1.     Read any book from our school library.  

a.      Decide if you liked the book.

b.     If you did not like the book go back to step one.

c.     If you enjoyed the book go on to step two.

 

2.     Complete the form on the back of this sheet and turn it in with your project.

 

3.     Alone or with a group (no more than 4) do one of the following:  

a.      Make a poster telling about the book.  Be sure to include interesting details.  Your poster may be no larger than 12 X 18 inches.  On the front of the poster include the title and author of the book and each person’s name and room number.

b.     Make a model showing something important from the book.  On the model include the title and author of the book and each person’s name and room number.  The model can be no larger than an average shoe box. 

c.     Write a one page summary of the book.  Your summary must be in your own words, include the title and author of the book and each person’s name and room number.

d.     Make an oral presentation to your library class celebrating the book.  You must have a sign with the title and author of the book and your name(s) and room number.  Your presentation must be no longer than 5 minutes and no shorter than 1 minute for each person in the group.

4.     Each person in the group must turn in an information sheet.

 

 

Bonus points will be given for projects turned in before May 15, 2009
