Third Trimester Project
Biography

Fifth – Sixth Grade Classes
- Read a biography or a collective biography. Write the title, author, and who the book is about on the back of this sheet.
- Using our online catalog find the title, author and call number of a related book. Write the information on the back of this sheet.
- Alone or with a group (no more than 4) do one of the following:
- Make a poster telling about the book. Be sure to include interesting details. Your poster may be no larger than 12 X 18 inches. On the front the poster must include the title and author of the book and each person’s name and room number.
- Make a model showing something important from the book. On the model include the title and author of the book and each person’s name and room number. The model can be no larger than an average shoe box.
- Imagine that you are the person (or one of the people) the book is about. Write a one page story telling about a visit to Eden Gardens School.
- Be creative:
i. Make an audio tape celebrating the person
ii. Make a video documentary about the person
iii. Write a poem
iv. Any other school appropriate activity to celebrate the person or the book.
- Complete the form on the back of this sheet and turn it in with your project no later than Friday, May 15, 2009. Do not attach the information sheet to the project. Each person in the group must complete an information sheet.
Bonus points will be given for projects turned in before the May 15, 2009.
